Grading system

The Academy conducts a Muay Thai grading exam every 12 weeks. This is where a student demonstrates their ability, skills and knowledge to a pre-set level starting from beginner standard (white - grading to yellow) up to Instructor (red grade) level. These gradings help to vastly improve a student's technique as well as showing his/her weaknesses. All students that pass are awarded a certificate and an armband to show the level that they have attained.

The first few gradings can be taken at 3 month intervals, with the waiting periods rising to 6, 9 & 12 months in between gradings as the level gets higher, this is due to the amount of skill and training needed to reach the required standards.

Through the use of a grading syllabus we are able to analyse how well a student's performance is progressing and then teach and advise on areas to be improved upon if needed. Session's can be arranged with Instructor to prepare for grading on Friday evenings between 4.00pm and 6.00pm.
